Big Thanks to the Library's Friends!

We had another outstanding book sale last weekend and it was all because of the hard work of the Friends of the Library. If you enjoyed visiting the book sale, or any of the myriad of events and gifts that the Friends sponsor for the library, including concerts, movies, and reading programs, please considering joining or contributing to the Friends. Visit the Friends Page for more information.

Exciting Centennial Fun for All Ages

We have two great centennial programs coming up over the next week. On Sunday, October 18 at 2:00 we will be hosting a special showing of Meet Me in St. Louis, the classic 1944 musical, released just three years after the library moved to its current location. And then on October 22 at 4:15 we will be having a book discussion just for kids on the book At Ellis Island, by Louise Peacock. All of the events leading up to our birthday bash on January 10 can be found on our centennial site.

Books for sale! Books for sale!

Our next book sale is right around the corner! From Saturday, October 17 through Monday, October 19th you can choose from thousands of respectfully used books, DVDs and other materials for all ages. Sunday, from 1-5, everything is half price and Monday, from 9 - 12, everything is $2 per bag. Thanks to the Friends of the Library for doing such a spectacular job running this sale. As always, all proceeds support the Glencoe Public Library!
